Lions Gain Point against Atlanta Futuro FC

AFC Lancaster Lions kicked off the first game of the second half of the ASL (American Soccer League) season against Atlanta Futuro FC Sunday where the two teams went into a stalemate with a 0-0 draw. The Lancaster Lions Dan Rowe had an early shot in the 4th minute. Atlanta quickly countered this though and keeper Ryan Sipe had a punch save off of an Atlanta Corner. The game progressed with minimum changes on both sides, until the 32nd minute when the Lions started build more possession and attack, but couldn’t find the back of the net. The second half of the game was played mostly in the midfield with Atlanta having the more threatening shots on goal. Keeper Ryan Sipe netted four saves for the Lancaster Lions in the second half keeping the score to a 0-0 draw. AFC Lancaster Lions are looking sharp and ready for their next match against Philadelphia Fury on August 28th!
